Mar 12, 2015 Paint color libraries are used in Revit Architecture projects to simulate surface finishes on architectural elements such as panels, slabs, roofs and exterior walls.
To create a surface finish you simply add or subtract a paint color from the selected paint swatch.
A color in a paint swatch can be replaced by a paint color from a library or by a color code.
Using a color code for paint you can quickly and easily change any paint color in a Revit Design Project.
You can download a color code from the color manager in the designer or from the download color option in the color picker.
A paint color library is a reference that can be used to find any color in the designer's paint library.
Revit paint library instructions:
The paint library has three parts.
Choose a color in the paint color library.
Find the color on the wall.
Color codes can be very useful to simulate surface finishes in Revit.
You can create your own paint color library and save it as a.ADKSLIB file.
The.ADKSLIB file is an Autodesk Architectural Design Material Library file.
This file is used to reference paint colors in the Revit Design model in the Revit Architecture project.
Once you have a paint library file you can download it and use it in your Revit Design Project.
